Döömläüt is a team of musician-scientists based in Oakland, CA that have assembled to test a ground-breaking hypothesis about the role of ümlauts in music. Specifically, we hypothesize that at an ümlaut-density of 1.21gÜs (gigaümlauts)--a density never before achieved in recorded history--the objective scientific laws governing musical taste and perception would break down, and the resulting "müsïc" would possess unpredictable and unimaginable properties. After many difficult months toiling in the bowels of the SXL studio-laboratory, we successfully created a set of "söngs" that meet or exceed the experimental ümlaut-density threshold in our latest experiment -- the "Älbüm" -- titled Apocalyptic Diacritic.
